updates directly to your database! Simply establish your
Internet connection, open AstroDatabank v.3, and select “Tools” from
the menu at the top of the page. Then select “Web Update” and follow
the instructions.
Albert, Eddie
On May 26, 2005, the 99-year-old actor died of pneumonia in his Pacific
Palisades home.
Brooks, Garth
The singer became engaged to Trisha Yearwood on May 25, 2005. Brooks
proposed on one knee in front of her and 7,000 fans at an unveiling of a
statue of him at Buck Owen’s Crystal Palace in Bakersfield, CA.
Crystal, Billy
The entertainer won a Tony award on June 5, 2005 for his one-man
autobiographical show entitled 700 Sundays.
Denver, Bob
The 70-year-old actor underwent quadruple heart-bypass surgery in May
2005.
Galloway, George
On May 17, 2005 the British M.P. appeared before the US Senate
sub-commission investigating the Oil for Food program. In his
appearance, he lambasted the Senators for their allegations that he
was involved in illicit or unethical dealings and he skewered the US
government for its policies and actions toward Iraq.
Irwin, Bill
On June 5, 2005, his portrayal of George in Edward Albee’s Who’s
Afraid of Virginia Woolf? captured a Tony for Best Performance for a
Leading Actor.
Kim Jong-il
We have added additional information to the source notes and
downgraded his rating to XX as there is disagreement about place and
date. The coordinates given in AstroDatabank are for Pyongyang, not Mt.
Paektu, where he was reportedly born. Some sources say that he was born
in Siberia.
Mikan, George
The Minneapolis Lakers superstar died at age 80 on June 1, 2005 at a
Scottsdale, Arizona rehabilitation center. He had been suffering from
kidney failure and other complications of diabetes.
Rorem, Ned
He was born in Richmond, Indiana, not Richmond, Virginia! Thanks to
Ken Eardley for the correction.
Simpson, Jason
The chef and oldest child of O.J. Simpson married Jessica Roney in
Florida on May 14, 2005.
Travis, Randy
He was born in Monroe, not Marshville. Thanks to Stephen Przybylowski
for the alert.
Wonder, Stevie
The musician’s wife Kai gave him a surprise present on his 55th
birthday, May 13, 2005 when she gave birth to their second son.
