You will find that the interpretation of your chart is written in simple
language, uncluttered by astrological jargon. If a statement appears to
contradict another statement, then you exhibit these opposite qualities at
different times in your life. For example, a statement that you are highly
sociable and gregarious and a statement that you prefer solitude seemingly
contradict each other; this means that you vacillate, and need both sociability
and solitude at different times.
The astrological factor that the interpretation is based on is also given. The
astrological factor is given for the benefit of astrologers and students of
astrology. If you are not a student of astrology, then obviously the factor will
not be meaningful to you, and you can ignore it.
If you find this interpretation of your birth chart interesting and informative,
you might want to discuss your birth chart with a professional astrologer to
learn more about the astrological influences on your life.

Chapter 1: General Characteristics
Your fundamental needs, values, and orientation towards life are symbolized by
the four astrological elements. Each person has their own unique balance of
these four basic energies: fire (warmth, inspiration, enthusiasm), earth
(practicality, realism, material interests), air (social and intellectual
qualities), and water (emotional needs and feelings).
Your "elemental make-up" is described below. Remember that most people are
"unbalanced" or lopsided, and if you are lacking or deficient in a certain
element (or elements), it simply means that you need to consciously develop that
aspect of yourself to learn to appreciate and/or to work harder in that
dimension of life.
Sometimes we overvalue the element that we are least endowed with, sensing it as
a lack within ourselves, but more often we neglect or ignore it. The qualities
described below will be reiterated and explained in more detail in the following
chapters.
Your common sense and your ability to use, enjoy, and deal effectively with the
physical world are your greatest strengths. You are down-to-earth and capable of
managing practical affairs, working, and taking care of the business of day to
day living very well. You have a strong urge to be useful and productive. For
you, the bottom line is practicality: Does it work? Is it functional? Of what
practical use is it? Theories and speculations mean little to you unless there
is some concrete purpose, some way to use them in the real world.
You are methodical and enjoy, even thrive on, a steady routine. Your first
response to anything novel or experimental is caution, resistance, or
skepticism. Basically conservative, you usually make the best of the status quo
rather than venturing into the unknown or making changes that could jeopardize
your security in any way. Material security is particularly important to you and
your sense of well-being is directly linked with financial assets or knowing you
have a steady, reliable source of income. You may hold yourself back or pass
over opportunities simply because you cannot control or know the outcome ahead
of time. Patience and persistence are your gifts, and you build your life on a
firm foundation through discipline, work, and planning.
You also have a deep affinity with the natural world, and need to be close to
the earth (gardening, camping, or working with your hands using natural
materials) in order to feel your best.
As you will read in the following chapter, you also have a fiery, energetic
approach to life, which gives you balance and provides you with the energy and
vision to make life more exciting. Your challenge in this life is to keep your
spark of enthusiasm and adventure alive and to be willing to take some risks;
otherwise, life becomes burdensome for you.

Chapter 2: How You Approach Life and How You Appear To Others
The following is a description of your basic stance towards life, the way others
see you, the way you come across, the face you show to the world. In Chapter 3
you will read about the "The Inner You: Your Real Motivation", which describes
the kind of person you are at heart and where your true priorities lie. Read
this chapter and the next one and compare them - there may be significant
differences between them, in which case "the inner you" may not shine through
and others are in for some surprises when they get to know you at a more than
superficial level. This chapter describes the costume you wear, your role in
life, while Chapter 3 talks about the real person inside the costume.
You meet life head on and throw yourself into new experiences with zest and
enthusiasm. You are direct, straightforward, assertive, and usually completely
aboveboard in all your dealings. Candid and incapable of guile, insincerity or
phoniness, you project a confident and sometimes arrogant appearance to others.
You often lack tact and sensitivity, and can be completely oblivious to others'
needs, and inadvertently selfish. You are self-reliant and don't depend upon
social approval and reinforcement as much as other people do. You like to be
original and do not mind going it alone. You may feel that you do not fit into
groups very well, and that you do not naturally blend in and cooperate with
others very easily. You like to be either a leader or a loner.
You are a doer and thrive on freedom, challenge, and activity. You tend to think
in clear, black and white terms, and to be somewhat simplistic in your outlook,
which enables you to act in a very decisive and self-assured manner. When
inspired with an idea, you feel such a sense of urgency and excitement about it
that you will often charge ahead and try to implement it in a rather bold but
poorly planned and crudely executed way. Patience and careful attention to
details are not your forte. However, you never accept defeat and will have
brilliant and unprecedented successes and discoveries, as well as painful
failures. To you it is far better to make mistakes than it is to play it safe
and never try.
You are scornful of what you see as weakness or passivity in others and also of
the human tendency to imitate and follow. You are not a follower. Others see you
as a strong individual, and perhaps brash and brazen as well. You present a
strong front to the world and generally do not allow others to see your
vulnerable or insecure side.
Bright, alert, quick of tongue and/or of movement, there is a youthfulness about
your manner and appearance regardless of your chronological age. You also always
appear busy and active, and somewhat restless. You need mental stimulation from
your environment, or you will rapidly get bored.
You project a feeling of broad-mindedness, generosity, and beneficence, a sense
that you're someone others should listen to and treat with respect. Because you
generally make such a favorable impression on people, many doors are open to
you, and it may seem that you are somehow luckier than other people. Mostly this
is due to the confidence you emanate.
You tend to be somewhat insecure with other people and strive for safety and
security in your life. Acquiring possessions and property is important to you,
and you have a strong desire to make a distinguished impression on others.

Chapter 3: The Inner You: Your Real Motivation
In addition to having an independent spirit as described in the previous
chapter, you are also objective, pragmatic, and quite ambitious. You're likely
to work your way to the top of the ladder in some corporation, academic
community, or other area by your astute strategies combined with your
willingness to take risks. You aim to be the authority, the one in charge. At
times your impulsiveness may be at odds with your conservative, responsible side
(which is discussed below). You can experience an ongoing internal tension
between pleasing yourself and acting spontaneously versus doing what you need to
do to get ahead and realize your long-range ambitions.
Serious, disciplined, and quietly ambitious, you are driven to prove yourself
and to achieve material accomplishments and success. Your work, your position in
the world, and your contributions to society are very important to you. You will
persevere through enormous hardship and frustration in order to reach a goal you
have set for yourself, and you often sacrifice much in the area of personal
relationships and home life in order to do so.
You have a thoughtful, quiet, and self-contained disposition and do not readily
show your inner feelings and needs. You seem to be always in control, capable,
efficient, and strong. You are often the person in the family or group who is
given more responsibility (and more work) than the others. You are highly
conscientious and even as a child you possessed great maturity, soberness, and
worldly wisdom.
You are basically a pragmatic realist, and though you may have all sorts of
dreams, ideals and colorful theories, you feel that the ultimate test of a
concept is its practical usefulness. You have an innate shrewdness and business
sense, and there is a bit of the cynic in you as well.
You are clear-headed, detached and objective, and are not swayed by emotional
dramatics. Often you are authoritarian -strictly fair, but without mercy. You
have a great respect for tradition and even if you do not agree with certain
laws, you will abide by them or work to change them, but never flagrantly
disregard them. Careful and conservative, you play by the rules.
You are subtle, understated, quiet, deep, not easy to know intimately, and never
superficial. You are a modest person and sometimes overly self-critical. Giving
yourself (and others) permission to feel, to play, to be spontaneous and silly,
and to be weak and vulnerable sometimes, isn't easy for you.
Your strong points are your depth and thoroughness, patience, tenacity, and
faithfulness. Your faults are a tendency to be rigid and inflexible, and too
serious.
World travel, foreign cultures, and studies which expand your intellectual
horizons and broaden your understanding of the world are very attractive to you.
You have a philosophical turn of mind and are concerned with seeking answers to
the big questions of life or getting the overview of any situation. Abstract
concepts and/or plans for the future occupy your mind much of the time.
You tend to see things from your perspective only and to be rather subjective.
You also enjoy talking and expressing your views but you don't always listen as
well. You have a clear mind, a love of learning and new experiences, and need
constant mental stimulation and activity.
You feel that you have the support of your family or others in your environment
for your creative efforts and personal goals, which enables you to act with
confidence. You are able to satisfy both your need to be an individual, and your
need for caring relationships and a sense of belonging. You are in harmony with
yourself and are therefore an effective individual.
You are assertive, energetic, active, courageous, and vital. You have a very
strong physical drive which expresses itself as sexuality and passion, a desire
to compete with others, and a tendency to fight. You have a victorious spirit
and the will to win.
You are infused with a sense of personal destiny or mission, and can be
extremely driven, obsessed, and fanatical. Learning about power and how to use
it for good is definitely part of your path. You confront abusive power,
tyranny, and dominating people who will teach you about power, and eventually
force you to claim your own.
You have a harmonious balance between your body, soul and spirit. You enjoy
intellectual challenges from others, but tend to form your own mental attitudes
and philosophies of life. You may be interested in studying human nature and
matters of health.
You are somewhat excitable and quickly aroused. You could be a little
self-centered, but at the same time also magnetic. You like to flirt and tend to
fall in love at first sight, but then transfer your affections to someone else
for no apparent reason.

Chapter 4: Mental Interests and Abilities
You possess vision and foresight, and your mind is often occupied with big
ideas, plans, and goals for the future. You are interested in what is possible
and what is on the horizon, rather than what has already been done. The study of
philosophy, religion, politics, or education is of interest to you, and you are
more concerned with theories and concepts than with specific applications. You
are not inclined to focus on any one practical, concrete area; you find it
irksome to deal with details and particulars. You have a gambling instinct and
enjoy speculative enterprises and new ventures. Business, advertising, and
promotion would be good areas for you also.
You have an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and wisdom and for an ever
broadening understanding of life. You are the perpetual student and will be
involved in higher education, philosophy, or religion. Law, broadcasting,
publishing, or the field of communications are also areas that interest you.
World travel and studying other cultures are also strong urges of yours.
You would be an excellent teacher or counselor for you listen sympathetically,
and encourage others to express their inner thoughts and feelings. People trust
and confide in you, and you are able to read between the lines and to sense what
their feelings are as well as what they are saying. You work well with and
understand women, and the emotional, feminine side of life. You are articulate
on personal (rather than factual or technical) subjects. Keeping a diary or
journal would be satisfying for you. You also have a talent for learning
languages.
Your desire to make a point sometimes overrides your receptivity to others'
views. You can be a good listener but often it is hard for you not to speak out.
You have a sharp mind and a sharp tongue as well, and love a vigorous discussion
or debate. You express your thoughts in a clear, decisive, convincing style. You
dislike vagueness and fuzzy thinking, and are quick to point out the
discrepancies in another's argument. At times you are verbally aggressive and
abrasive to others, and you tend to overstate your case or offend people by your
unadorned frankness. You can be an effective spokesperson, lawyer, or salesman.
You have an aptitude for writing as well, particularly criticism or satire. You
enjoy mental challenges and mental work.
Although you are perceptive and attuned to the personal, human side of any issue
(as described above), you are also capable of considerable intellectual
detachment and objectivity. You combine the qualities of being subjective and
intuitive with a rational, analytical approach. You have an introverted frame of
mind and you tend to dissect or deeply analyze your own and other people's inner
lives and experiences.
You scrutinize, analyze, dissect, and critically assess ideas before you accept
them. You may seem judgmental, serious, and unreceptive to others' thoughts,
particularly if they are frivolous or poorly thought out. You prefer substantial
conversation rather than superficial, light, meaningless banter. You generally
think deeply and carefully before speaking and wish others would do the same!
Communication problems, like extreme reticence, stuttering, or interpersonal
difficulties, may well be challenges for you.
Even though you can be a decisive and convincing speaker (as indicated earlier),
you also have a highly imaginative and intuitive mind. With this combination,
there are a number of possibilities: you could accurately articulate the images
and fantasies you have, you could forcefully convince others of your own brand
of idealism (or illusion!), or perhaps you swing from being very clear and
direct to being rather evasive or poetic. The following describes the more
fluid, nonrational aspect of your thinking.
Although your thinking is precise and logical, as described above, at times you
can be quite the opposite. Periods of absentmindedness, building castles in the
air, or ruminating over mystical, abstract, or imponderable subjects are also
likely, as discussed below.
Vague, confused thinking which can lead to miscommunication and
misunderstandings can be a problem for you, and you have to work at being as
clear, honest and unambiguous in your dealings with others as you possibly can.
You tend, also, to "go off the deep end" regarding spiritual philosophies,
imaginative ideas, or theoretical speculation which may or may not have any real
relevance or validity. Try to critically test out your ideas, or seek out a
person whose judgment and character you respect, to use as a sounding board.
You have very strong opinions and may be seen as fanatical, extreme, dogmatic,
or one-sided in your views. Forcing your "truth" onto other people or playing
intellectual power games with them, seeking to manipulate their thinking along
certain lines, can lead to much conflict and opposition in your life. You may
also be keenly aware of the ways the media, popular artists, and advertising
manipulates and shapes our thoughts, for you see through hypocrisy, sham, and
surface appearances quite readily. You have an intense way of communicating, and
you may threaten others unintentionally.
You are very thorough and are likely to commit yourself to some type of study or
research work. Not very talkative, you try to avoid contact with others as much
as possible and prefer to do your work in seclusion or solitude.

Chapter 5: Emotions: Moods, Feelings, Romance
Even-tempered and peace-loving, you are not easily ruffled and are rarely given
to emotional displays. You have a calming effect on more high-strung or volatile
people, and an emotional steadiness that others find soothing. Though gentle and
not easily provoked, you are tremendously stubborn and will resist any change
which requires an emotional adjustment, such as changes in your home life or
marriage.
You seek security and loyalty in love, are extremely devoted to your loved ones,
and provide a warm, nurturing atmosphere for them. However, you tend to cling
and seek to keep others from changing.
A great deal of physical affection, closeness, and touching is essential to your
well-being, and you have a tendency to overindulge in sensual comforts and
pleasures. At times you substitute food for emotional comfort and love.
You have a soft exterior and tend to relate very personally and sympathetically
to other people. However, you sometimes let your emotions overpower your
reasoning and logic, and consequently you are sometimes biased in your opinions.
You are impressionable and rather gentle, or at least that is the way you
appear. Your feelings are on the surface and you can not hide your emotions.
You are assertive and confront difficulties in a direct, no-nonsense sort of
way. You cannot tolerate self-pity or passivity, and you can be rather brusque
with others' emotional problems. "Stop crying and DO something about it" might
be your motto.
There is a side to you which loves comfort and the easy life, and unless other
factors in your chart indicate strong drive and ambition, you can be lazy and
overly permissive with yourself. You enjoy being taken care of and pampered, and
self-indulgence is always a temptation for you. If your parents made the
unfortunate mistake of indulging you too much as a child, this may be a very
hard habit to break. You can be so soft and affectionate that it is hard to say
no to you. Eating too many sweets is a vice you are particularly prone to, also.
Although you get hot under the collar rather easily (as mentioned above), you
also have a certain degree of emotional self-control and composure which enables
you to rein in some of your more aggressive tendencies. This side of you is
described below.
You are dedicated to the people you care about and conscientious about meeting
your responsibilities, especially to family. Family solidarity and cohesiveness
are very important to you and so, therefore, are the traditions, rituals, and
memories that keep the bonds strong.
You're apt to do more than your fair share in the family, to go the extra mile,
but this is satisfying rather than burdensome to you for the most part.
Although you were portrayed above as being assertive and combative, you have a
diametrically opposed tendency as well: The urge to escape all contention and
ugliness. This may mellow your fiery reactions somewhat, or you may seesaw
between the two. Your softer side is described in the following paragraphs.
You are a dreamer, attracted to the inner, mystical side of life, and may have
trouble distinguishing the real from the imagined or illusory. You do not enjoy
confrontation and become very evasive when problems in your personal life arise,
escaping into your imagination in order to avoid dealing with them directly. You
are also rather gullible and naive about people, especially if your sympathy has
been aroused. You are very sensitive to music and can use it to bring yourself
into emotional balance and harmony.
You have very deep feelings and profound attachments to people you care about.
Your relationship to your mother, sisters, daughters, and other females in your
life is apt to be incredibly close and intense. You may be easily manipulated
too, when it comes to one of these important relationships, because you're so
emotionally invested in it.
Your emotional flow seems to be blocked in some way and you may feel inhibited
when you are with others. You are likely to have a certain fear of crowds and
may have a tendency to be agoraphobic.
In love, you desire a deep, intense, passionate union with your beloved and form
very strong emotional bonds and attachments. You "marry" the person you love at
a very deep emotional level, and are often extremely possessive and jealous of
any threat to that union. You can be very demanding with your love partner. You
tend to be somewhat suspicious of even platonic, friendly relationships your
partner has. If you are ever betrayed, you are capable of hating with as much
force and intensity as you once loved. You are attracted to people who have an
aura of mystery about them.
You are a very personable, affectionate, loving friend and will always have many
people in your life who love and cherish you. You prefer being with others
rather than on your own, and you feel very incomplete without a special person
in your life to share your love with. Being half of a close, loving couple is
very important to you.
You are a peacemaker, the one who adapts, harmonizes, and makes concessions for
the sake of the relationship. Your charm and agreeableness makes you very
popular.
You tend to deprive yourself of pleasure, friendship, and love, either because
you feel you don't deserve it or you think it's wrong to enjoy life too much.
You may have been indoctrinated with a duty-and-work-before-all-else orientation
early on. You may also think of yourself as unattractive or unlovable, and thus
close your heart to opportunities to share love and companionship, never quite
believing that others actually like you. You're apt to prefer solitude to being
in uncomfortable social situations, and your shyness may be intense --
especially when young. Learning to truly love and accept yourself -- including
whatever flaws or imperfections you believe you have -- is so important for you.
This process of self-appreciation and self-love will reap rewards, especially in
later life.
Sensitive and compassionate, you tend to be the "giver" in any relationship. You
have high ideals and a refined attitude towards love, seeking to relate in ways
that are beyond ego needs and selfishness. You are attracted to people with
artistic or mystical inclinations.
You are prone to get involved in highly intense, even obsessive relationships --
"fatal attractions", so to speak. At its darkest, this urge for intensity in the
personal arena may compel you to choose friends or mates who are rather
dangerous or dishonorable characters with a penchant for manipulating and
inflicting pain on their "loved ones". On the other hand, you may be tempted to
use your own sexuality or charm to play the same sort of game, to use love or
friendship as a bargaining chip or to gain power over others. Even if your
intentions are basically good, you will find that your closest relationships are
rather tumultuous affairs in which some rather unlovely aspects of yourself
(such as jealousy, the desire to dominate or to be a victim, etc.) keep showing
their faces. These are qualities that need to be understood and ultimately
outgrown.
You may be subject to periodic changes of mood, are serious, somewhat somber,
and you seem to lack confidence in yourself and could have trouble giving of
yourself. You tend to withdraw from others, expecting to be disappointed if you
let anyone come too close.
You don't hold back with your charms and show everyone what you have to offer.
Your personality is quite dazzling and enables you to attract many people. Your
need for affection is strong and you probably will have very intense love
relationships.

Chapter 6: Drive and Ambition: How You Achieve Your Goals
You are serious about your ambitions, and disciplined, dedicated, and tenacious
in pursuing your objectives. Your drive and energy are directed toward practical
material accomplishment and achieving concrete results. You also strive to be in
a position of authority and social influence; you enjoy being the person who is
in command.
You are hard-working and capable of foregoing immediate comfort in order to
achieve your long-range goals. You can easily become a workaholic and are very
responsible and conscientious about doing a thorough job.
Realistic and pragmatic, you are an excellent strategist. You attain success by
formulating a conservative and workable plan and following through with it. You
are not a gambler when it comes to attaining your goals; you depend on your own
efforts and perseverance rather than good fortune. You have a natural shrewdness
and instinct for business or organizational management.
You have passionate convictions and will fight for them when challenged. You are
willing to dedicate a great deal of your energy and force to an important cause,
and you'll act decisively on your beliefs, rather than simply espousing them.
Sometimes you get so involved and identified with your ideas that you cannot
really be receptive to anyone who opposes you philosophically.
You are highly ambitious and will drive yourself (and others) mercilessly when
you want to achieve something. Competition can become a deadly serious and
rather ugly thing with you, as if your very life depended upon winning or
conquering. Your relationships with men may be especially fraught with conflicts
and power struggle. You are capable of tremendous effort, but you must beware of
burning yourself out.
You have a strong tendency to flirt and seek excitement and stimulation through
your love relationships. You have the ability to make yourself interesting to
people you meet and some of your contacts may have an unusual quality or may
begin under unusual conditions.

Chapter 7: Growth and Expansion: Areas That You Enjoy
Your strength lies in your ability to be innovative, open to new progressive
concepts, willing to experiment and to reject customs and traditions when they
cease to serve any positive function in the present. Also, you have an expansive
view of the world, one that includes humanity and not only your own small,
personal circle.
You have good fortune working with groups, organizations, and others who share
your ideals. You go further if you unite your efforts with others, as in clubs,
networks, or civic associations. Social improvement, or benefiting your
community is very important to you.

Chapter 8: Areas That Challenge You Or Are Difficult For You
You doubt your own intelligence and mental capacities, and you may work very
hard at studies in order to compensate for this. You are often overly serious
and disinterested in light or superficial conversation. Spontaneous
communication, social give-and-take, and making small talk are likely to be
difficult for you.
You are serious-minded and may have difficulty making light social conversation
or participating in friendly, personal interchanges.
You try to be strictly accurate and are critical of people who exaggerate or
talk on subjects they really know little about. You withhold your thoughts and
opinions until you have thought everything through quite thoroughly, and
sometimes your silence discomforts others.
Your mental concentration is very good but your breadth of understanding may not
be.
You are suspicious of groups, crowds, and social organizations. You are quick to
notice social games and insincerities, and you avoid the limelight and glamour.
You are direct and to the point in speech and manner, stubborn and inflexible,
and often unwilling to communicate your innermost feelings and thoughts.
Now we will discuss patterns of behavior which you instinctively and habitually
revert to when under stress - a mostly unconscious process and one which you are
apt to overdo because it is so familiar and thus easy for you. The direction you
need to follow in order to develop balance, greater awareness, and wholeness is
also described.
Your path lies in cultivating idealism and humanitarian feelings, being
concerned with how your actions impact the world at large, perhaps becoming more
aware of the social implications of your life style and personal choices or
becoming active politically. Participating in organizations that support your
ideals is one way to do this.
When under stress you are likely to become overly focused on yourself and your
own little world.
Instead of "how will this benefit or hurt me?" your focus needs to shift to "how
will this affect us all?".
Ideally, you need to strike a balance between doing for yourself and doing for
others, by discovering how your unique gifts can contribute to the good of all.
The arena you are most likely to wrestle with these issues is in any
involvements you have with teams, clubs, organizations, networks, and the like.
The qualities described above need to be channeled into some sort of group
effort or experience, or have some impact on society at large.
You have a very obliging manner and are always in search for new contacts. You
are able to identify with people quite easily and probably will make many
friends who can be of help to you.
You always look for contacts with groups or associations and have the ability to
blend in unobtrusively. You have a way of integrating others needs and feelings,
at the same time realizing and considering the proceedings of the association.
You are a good team worker and have the ability to lead others. Your meetings
and associations with others tend to be harmonious and cooperative. You also may
have a very industrious family and tend to be strongly tied to them.

Chapter 9: Originality and Imagination
Areas Where You Are Creative, Unique, Unstable, or Compulsive
You have unusual, even eccentric friends, and you are likely to join groups,
communities, organizations, or clubs which promote progressive or unconventional
ideas, social change, or innovation in some form. You are dynamic and creative
in business affairs and in organizations.
Your childhood and early home life were colored by a great deal of confusion or
by people with unusually active imaginations, aspirations, or fantasies. It is
difficult for you to see your childhood and your relationship with your parents
in a clear, realistic light. You may search for the ideal, loving home you wish
you had, or believe you had, when you were a child. Finding inner peace and a
sense of emotional security within yourself is important to you.
You have a probing, penetrating mind and are highly analytical and critical in
your thinking. Work that involves research, investigating mysteries or hidden
causes, or deep study and analysis suits you very well.
You are also a convincing speaker, bringing others around to your own point of
view by the intensity of your convictions.
You may find it difficult to be around other people and tend to use little white
lies to get out of appointments or meetings. Poor communication or
misunderstandings with others always seems to leave you disappointed.
You seem to have nerves of steel and you are ambitious and courageous with a
strong desire for power. You impress others as someone not to be trifled with.
You have far-reaching plans and are likely to reach success early in life.
You tend to be a bit over-zealous in speech, have marked ability to analyze, but
are inclined to criticize others, leading to frequent fights. You love verbal
battles and have the energy and endurance to out-talk anyone.

Chapter 10: Generational Influences: Your Age Group
In this chapter we will discuss characteristics and traits of your generation.
Of course, you may not share all of the characteristics of your generation, but
you are greatly affected by the tone that is set by your generation.
The first topic is "The Subconscious and Emotional Drive of Your Age Group". In
this section we will describe a deeply felt urge, even compulsion, of your age
group. This deeply felt drive comes to the surface with great force and power,
and consequently leaves in its wake considerable upheaval and change. The second
topic is "The Ideals and Illusions of Your Age Group", that describes the
dreams, fantasies, and spiritual aspirations of your age group. The third and
last topic is "What is New and Different in Your Age Group", which describes
areas in which your age group tends to be innovative, inventive, unusual, and
also where it may be unstable and unreliable.
The characteristics described below may affect a group of people for anywhere
from a few years to about 30 years. There are one or more different astrological
factors described in each of the three sections below.
The Subconscious and Emotional Drive of Your Age Group
You are part of a 25 year group of people who have strong feelings for home and
country. You are a sentimental group, and feel deeply attached to your family
and your country. You cling to the familiar, are distrustful and fearful of
different cultures, and consequently a great deal of racial and ethnic prejudice
is common among your age group.
Your need for closeness and togetherness runs very deep and causes you to bond
closely to family members and old friends, and also makes you prone to be
involved in mass movements and group activities because they feed your largely
subconscious need for acceptance and support by others. Unfortunately, your age
group is easily carried away by a group frenzy and many of you often lack the
integrity or courage to think and act in an independent and rational way.
Your generation is very emotional and tenderhearted. Many of your group
sacrificed a great deal to help your children or other family members, while
other generations are unwilling to give as much as you have. Your tender
feelings and regard for the well-being of others can spur your age group to make
contributions towards the feeding of the hungry, care for the neglected, and
support for the needy, particularly children and mothers. You are a group of
people with a strong heart and a helpful hand. Many of you have parents and/or
children who are not nearly as supportive and helpful; many of your
contributions are not completely appreciated or even go unnoticed.
The Ideals and Illusions of Your Age Group
You are part of a 14 year group of people that are highly intuitive, emotional,
and sentimental. Your generation approaches religion in an emotional and
devotional manner, and is less concerned with specific dogma and doctrine than
other generations. You are an emotional and sentimental group that clings to
your memories of precious and special moments.
What is New and Different in Your Age Group
You are part of a 7 year group of people who are very bright and inventive, and
contribute much to the sciences. Your age group advances technology at an even
greater rate than previous generations, and you develop extremely large
facilities for furthering research and development of new technologies.
Increased cooperation and communication throughout the world assists you in this
progress, for most of the development is made possible by large-scale
cooperation rather than single individuals. Concern with barriers between
governments and between members of industry (e.g. labor versus management) is
very important to your age group, and tremendous effort is put into improving
the relationships between these various bodies of people.
